The quick drying capability of textiles(absorption of moisture and perspiration) derives from specially-shaped cross-sections and weave design, or from moisture-absorbent additives. Textiles that transfer moisture and dry quickly mainly rely either on capillary action in their fibers or moisture absorbency to absorb moisture quickly and wick it away from the textile’s surface. Affected by diffusion and air convection on the surface of the textile surface, the moisture quickly evaporates, leaving the textile dry. |
